When she was young, her parents split up, and Mirta was raised primarily by her mother. Mirta later spent two summers on Null with her father, learning the Mandalorian language and culture. Sometime afterward, her father was killed in a hull breach accident, and Ailyn became Mirta's sole caregiver. Following Mandalorian custom, Mirta married during her teenage years, but separated from her husband sometime prior to the Second Galactic Civil War. Mirta was greatly affected by her mother's animosity towards her own father, Boba Fett. Ailyn hated her father for what she thought was his abandoning of her and her mother, Sintas, and blamed him for indirectly causing Sintas's death. Ailyn had passed on her hatred for Boba to Mirta, and the two hatched a plan to lure Boba into a trap so that Ailyn could finally kill him. [In 40 ABY, Mirta was in her mid-twenties and working as a bounty hunter. She had located Boba Fett on Taris and approached him, not divulging the fact that she was Ailyn's daughter. To pique his interest, she had shown him the Heart of Fire he had given to Sintas as a wedding present years earlier. Claiming that she had recovered it from the man who killed Sintas and that she was taking it back to Ailyn to collect the bounty on it, she then had a short conversation with Boba regarding Ailyn. He then offered to pay her five thousand credits to take him to Ailyn, and allowed Mirta to come along with him on his quest to find the Kaminoan cloner Taun We. The pair set off to Roonadan to find clues that would lead to the whereabouts of Taun We. Upon arriving, Fett locked Mirta up in Slave I's prisoner bay while he went searching for clues. Upon his return, she divulged to Boba that she had met a clone that had claimed he had fought in the Clone Wars, and that he looked around the same age as Boba. Boba filed that information away as useful, and the pair continued on to Vohai. Once on Vohai, Mirta was again left in Slave I, but upon Fett's return to the ship, he received a transmission from Thrackan Sal-Solo. Sal-Solo wanted Fett and his Mandalorians to defend Centerpoint Station, to which Boba agreed, and tasked Goran Beviin with recruiting. Appalled, Mirta's heritage as the daughter of a Mandalorian then came to light, as she berated Fett for abdicating his responsibilities as Mandalore. She also stated to Fett that she had lost contact with Ailyn, and was worried about her. During Fett's visit to Corellia, when it became clear that Fett was going to use Han Solo's high-profile bounty to lead him to Ailyn, Mirta made it clear that she disliked Thrackan Sal-Solo. When Fett and Han Solo made an agreement for Fett to take down Thrackan in exchange for Han giving information on Ailyn's whereabouts, Mirta joined them. She actually took the killing shots that eliminated Thrackan for good after he revealed the fact that he had betrayed her mother to the GAG. In the aftermath, Han attempted to make good on his side of the bargain. However, when it was revealed that Ailyn Vel had died in Galactic Alliance custody, Mirta attempted to kill Fett, but was subdued by Leia Organa Solo. Clearly upset, Mirta revealed that she was in fact Ailyn Vel's daughter and Boba Fett's granddaughter and had been sent to bring Fett to Ailyn so that she could kill her father for abandoning her. Though frightened of Boba Fett, Han managed to coax Mirta not to kill her only surviving kin. Despite her anger and deep bitterness toward Boba, Mirta convinced him to become a better Mandalore. That was the start of a bond between grandfather and granddaughter. They recovered Ailyn's remains and decided to stop on Geonosis to recover Jango Fett's remains as well before they went to Mandalore. When they reached Mandalore, Fett and Mirta buried both Ailyn and Jango on the planet. She later found out that her grandmother had been frozen in carbonite, and she and Boba planned to retrieve her. While on Mandalore, Mirta lived with Novoc Vevut's family and had a budding relationship with Novoc's adopted son, Ghes Orade. They got married during the Confederation-Galactic Alliance War, shortly after the Second Battle of Fondor took place. Mirta eventually learned from her grandmother Sintas Vel why Boba Fett had been exiled from Concord Dawn. Before learning the truth about Boba, she greatly disliked him, but longed to love him and felt proud, but disappointed. After becoming friends with Jaina Solo during the Battle of Fondor, Mirta would plead with Jaina not to kill her brother Jacen as Mirta felt it would cause unbearable pain to Jaina and her family as her attempted killing of her grandfather had. Mirta went on to lead the Mandalorian assassination attempt on the Moff Council on Nickel One. She was injured by Darth Caedus, and was captured, and taken to the Anakin Solo. | |||||||||
